The fame of the Aindhuveetu Swamy temple spreads to many places. People from all places starts to come to the Aindhuveetu Swamy temple. The people called this temple with different names as “Aindhuveetu Swamy temple”, “Aindhuveetan temple”, “Anjuttan temple”, and “Chettiyapathu temple”.

In Ammanpuram Melapudhukudi, there is a couple have no child. Mr. Ramaswamy and his wife Sivananaindha Ammaiyar take fasting for Aindhuveetu Swamy temple to get a child. One day of fasting, Sri Velandi Swamigal give Thirumani theertham and blessed that they will get a boy child soon. They named the child as Arunachalam. Later he called as Sri Chairman Arunachala Swamigal. The father of Chairman Swamigal donates a mandapa to the Aindhuveetu Swamy temple.

Usually sages come to the Aindhuveetu Swamy temple for panividai and eat food with the devotees. Sri Velandi Swamigal is one of the sages. The epitaph of Sri Velandi Swamigal became as Velandi Swamigal madam(மடம்). It is also known as “Annakaavadi madam”. Because in that madam, they provide food and kanji for the hunger and the poor. The well near the madam is called as Annakavadi well.
