Annamuthiri is one of the special pojas for Aindhuveetu Swamy temple Gods at every Sithirai 23. In this poja, only rice is the oblation. After this Annamuthiri poja, people claim that rice to their house. They allow the rice to dry and use as a medicine. The people add some of this dried rice in the food of patients. They believe that this rice cures the diseases. Even the incurable diseases can be cured by the body (Aathi) leaf and Thirumanikatti water (theertham of Aindhuveetu Swamy temple). The people believe that the water will give a special strength. People round their head with an egg or a chicken and leave in the Aindhuveetu Swamy temple. They believe that it will clear their dhosham and thirshti.
